ROBERT D. CUDNEY // CEO, President & Founder

With over 40 years of expertise in portfolio management, capital markets, and mining exploration, Robert Cudney is the visionary founder of Northfield Capital Corp. A recipient of the Bill Dennis Award for his role in the discovery of the Bruce Channel Deposit, Robert’s leadership reflects a deep commitment to driving growth and value creation across industries.

Robert D. Cudney is a veteran capital markets executive, mining entrepreneur, and strategic investor with over 40 years of experience building, financing, and scaling resource companies across multiple commodity cycles. As Chief Executive Officer, President, and Founder of Northfield, Rob leads the firm’s long-term strategy, capital deployment, and portfolio construction — applying a disciplined model that has generated more than C$5 billion in realized shareholder value.

Rob has played a pivotal role in the creation and advancement of Juno Corp., now Northfield’s cornerstone exploration asset and the dominant claimholder in Ontario’s Ring of Fire — controlling 52% of the district’s land package. His early leadership helped shape Juno’s strategy, land consolidation, and multi-commodity exploration vision.

Over his career, Rob has co-founded, financed, or guided multiple billion-dollar mining successes, including Gold Eagle Mines (C$1.5B exit in 2008), FNX Mining/Quadra (C$3.5B exit in 2012), Queenston Mining (C$550M exit in 2012), and Guyana Goldfields (C$323M exit in 2020) — a track record that reflects decades of repeatable value creation and operational execution.

Under Rob’s leadership, Northfield has expanded beyond mining into a diversified operating portfolio, which includes True North Airways — an integrated aviation platform that enhances logistics efficiency for Juno’s exploration programs and operates as a strong standalone business.

Known for his sector insight, disciplined owner-operator mindset, and ability to identify transformational opportunities early, Rob continues to drive Northfield’s strategic direction as the premier public gateway to Ontario’s Ring of Fire.
